Translational research

We conduct research, provide health services, and empower populations through education and skills training.

Objective 1: To conduct translational health research projects that transforms scientific discoveries into accessible disease prevention and healthcare solutions for underserved communities in Zambia, particularly women, the poor, and vulnerable populations through:

  2. Supporting innovation in diagnostics, therapies, and public health interventions.
  3. Conduct clinical interventional studies and public health research that directly benefits vulnerable populations and communities.
  4. Translate research into policy briefs and community education materials to demonstrate impact, strengthening bids for implementation funding.
  5. Engage policymakers to secure governmental and philanthropic support for scaling successful interventions.
  6. Establish a nationally- and internationally recognized institutional review board and ethics committee
  7. Develop research documents and policies (research policies, responsible conduct of research) to increase organizational efficiency in meeting goals and objectives.

Objective 2: To provide Health services including conducting health outreaches to address the specialized health needs and targeted local communities through

  1. Educating the public and professionals on evidence-based prevention strategies.
  2. Establish research groups, peer groups, volunteer groups from the community, students, professionals that will conduct community service routinely to improve the lives of the vulnerable
  3. Provide health diagnostic services and link to care with nominal administrative contribution fees to sustain operations and service to vulnerable communities and persons aligning with organizational goals.
  4. Conduct health expos to provide free services to vulnerable communities and persons for prevention of adverse outcomes.

Objective 3. Resilience through Inclusive Skills Transfer:

To establish expert- and community-led skills transfer initiatives to equip vulnerable populations with practical tools for sustainable health and economic independence

  1. Provide research mentorship and skills transfer to undergraduate students, predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows and professional workers in order to increase efficiency and promote translational research capacity in Zambia
  2. Provide life skills to encourage entrepreneurial abilities that foster resilience, financial independence and self-reliance

Objective 4. Vulnerable-focused Education & Sponsorship:

To Provide equitable access to education for orphans and vulnerable children through targeted sponsorship programs

  • Secure Sustainable Funding Streams for orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) via individual child sponsorships, corporate CSR, foundations, crowdfunding, and local philanthropy.
  • Develop donor retention plans and periodic giving options.
  • Identify & Enrol OVC Learners: Establish transparent screening and selection criteria; partner with local schools, social-welfare offices, faith groups and community leaders to locate orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) most in need.
  • Provide Holistic School Support Packages;- Cover tuition, uniforms, learning materials, exam fees, nutrition (school meals), transport, and essential healthcare. Adapt packages for primary, secondary, vocational/tertiary levels.
  • Create School & Community Partnerships
  • Provide career-readiness training, internships, and scholarships for higher education or vocational paths. Create an alumni network for peer mentorship and giving-back.

Objective 5: Empower organizations, students and professionals to secure sustainable funding through grant writing training, opportunity identification, and competitive proposal development, while actively applying for and competing for grants to advance our own mission

Objective 6: To cooperate and coordinate with government and other organizations including Fostering partnerships with global institutions to address health disparities
